Access Statement For Manna House

Introduction   We will do our best to cater for the needs of all visitors to our home.  Please bear in mind that our B&B runs from our family home.  Our information is available on our website or over the phone.  Below is extra information to aid accessibility.

Pre-arrival   Our usual communication is by phone (between 9am and 10pm please, unless in emergency) or email.  If needed, we can send a large font email or communicate by type-talk.

Arrival & parking   Most guests arrive by car or train (London Travel Information: 020-7222-1234).  If you have problems walking 600m from the station, contact minicab company, Sure Cars (020-8697-1235).  If you arrive by car and have mobility problems, we can reserve a parking place on our forecourt, just five metres from the front door.   Lynne is willing to assist you with luggage.

Main entrance and reception   The front door has external lighting to aid your approach.
Guests are welcomed in the breakfast room with a drink and biscuits and signing the register.  Your breakfast order is taken (large print menu available;  special diets catered for with advance notice).  This room is well lit.  You will have time to ask for any information about the B&B, your stay and the locality (notepad and pen are available).  Then you are escorted to your room and shown the facilities.

Internal public areas    All four bedrooms are on the first floor.  The stairs have a bannister on one side and handrail on the other.  A night light is on all night.  You can store medication in the fridge on the landing.

Bedrooms   Each has a colour TV with teletext, sub-titles and remote control.  On request, there is a flashing alarm clock.

Bathrooms   There is a bathroom near the three bedrooms that are not en-suite.  This has a bath with grab rails and shower.  A non-slip mat, for in the bath, is available.  Additional grab rails and a shower stool are available on request.  Guests can use the downstairs family bathroom, if the upstairs one is occupied.

Contacting us   We are available for assistance by knocking on the doors of the family rooms downstairs.   For emergencies, when we are out, Lynne's mobile number can be given.
